Aside from the time I spend researching and writing, I actively follow several sports teams and, when possible, travel.
Having been born in Kansas and grown up in Nebraska, I am a Kansas Jayhawks basketball fan, and root for both Kansas and Nebraska football teams (a much easier task with the new conference alignments).
My time in Chicago as an undergraduate instilled an affinity for both the Cubs and the Bears, along with a boundless and probably irrational belief that both teams will eventually play to their potential (or perhaps just their payrolls).
My wife, Lauren, and I also enjoy travelling when we can. London is a favorite destination, but we enjoy exploring bookstores, bakeries, and architecture wherever we go.
